QMandelbrot V. 1.0 is a simple, easy Mandelbrot fractal generator. It produces strikingly beautiful full color images of one of the most famous fractal patterns. Fractals are mathematically generated patterns which are self-similar on many levels. They have numerous practical applications, but are aesthetically pleasing as well.
Shareware Notice: QMandelbrot is shareware. I realize that it only has a few limited purposes, never-the-less, I still spent a large amount of time on the math, graphics, and interface. I would really appreciate it if you would donate 5 dollars to cover the expensive costs of Macintosh programming. ONLY 5 DOLLARS!!!

The interface of the program is self-explanatory, but I have included a short description of each menu item.
File
Begin- Start drawing the fractal with the current settings
Quit- Leave the application
Mandelbrot
Bounded Color- Choose the color for the points which lie inside
the Mandelbrot set
Unbounded Color- Choose the color for the points that lie outside
of the Mandelbrot set. It is only active when in single color
mode.
Mutiple Colors- When this item is turned on, the fractal will be
drawn in many bright colors from red to purple. If it is off, all
points outside of the set will be drawn uniformly, which can be
helpful in seeing the clear outline of the fractal.
Iterations- Maximum number of times each point is calculated
before it is declared in the set. It is preset at a resonable
number, but for more detail on larger screen, feel free t set it
higher. Fractal calculation is sped up by decreasing the value.

Thank you for taking the time to try out QMandelbrot. Please distribute it to all of your friends, favorite BBSs, and archives. Please ask before including it on any CD-ROMs or other methods of mass distribution.
